New Looks Debut in Santa Cruz

Did we have fun at the Central Coast Hair & Beauty Expo in Santa Cruz on October 11th!

Nicolas debuted five new looks at his Platform Presentation.  It was a high energy show, chock-full of fashion forward looks and lots of solid techniques that the audience loved. This was Nicolas’s 15th year with the Central Coast show, and he’s still innovating!

Here are some snapshots of the looks presented.  Enjoy!

Nicole  modeled a long disconnected look with an overlapping fringe.  She was a true rocker chick with an elegant twist.  Rich cherry color highlighted the geometry of this cut.

Stephanie modeled a beautiful, soft and sexy disconnected A-line bob.  Wispy details combined with a strong shape make for a new interpretation of a classic look.  Deep mink tones with auburn highlights enhanced this soft and tousled style.

Rose modeled a rounded graduation look with an A-line bob design line at the back.   This wearable look was enhanced by gorgeous deep chocolate tones and shiny curls, courtesy of our new product CurlVacious with Argan Oil.

Jasmin modeled a modern interpretation of a classic disconnected cut.  A strong overlapping fringe really showed off Jasmin’s dramatic features.  An elegant combination of black tones with cherry overlay added to the dramatic effect of this crowd-pleasing look.

Michelle modeled an avante-garde one-length look.  Strong lines and dramatic asymmetry created a look perfect for the bold client who wants to stand out in a crowd. Michelle’s great curls were enhanced and defined by CurlVacious and her deep  red copper hair was set off with a wild black veil fringe.  This was a ground-breaking look!

Jenny modeled a different take on the disconnected look that Nicolas cut on Jasmin.   This cut framed her face and played off her great features.  This take on Modern Punk was another crowd pleaser!  Fun pink color set off the layers of this strong cut.

It was a great show!  Nicolas would like to thank his wonderful models and his great assistants, Dawn, Suki and Sophia for all their hard work.  We are looking forward to fifteen more years of a successful association with the Central Coast show.

Nicolas will be the lead-off Platform Artist at the 2009 Central Coast Hair Design & Beauty Expo on Sunday, October 11th, at the historic Cocoanut Grove in Santa Cruz. 10 AM sharp!

The Central Coast show features great platform artistry, education, presentations, demos, and fabulous new products, all in a beautiful location overlooking the Monterey Bay.  In addition to Nicolas, other presenters include Madrid Johnson, Gary Gerard, Gino Martino, Andre Nizetich, Steven Statland, Brian Bode, Marc Reid, and Jesse Skittrall.  The always inspiring CCA Student Team Competition, featuring the next generation of hair designers, will top off the day.
